Firelands Federal Credit Union is hiring a full time Accounting Clerk to join our growing team! This position will be based at our Bellevue, OH location.

Our ideal candidate performs a variety of accounting and clerical duties. We are looking for individuals who is able to receive, sort, proof accounting documents, review internal records and accounts, and individuals with a desire to respond to member financial inquiries, and recommend solutions to members with resolutions. • Clothing Allowance Essential Accounting Clerk Duties:
  • Processes daily summary recap and ensures that total change fund is in daily balance.
  • Processes all wire transfers including OFAC checks.
  • Reconciles all money orders sold, processes and maintains settlement reports.
  • Processes computer reports and computer exceptions.
  • Handles telephone inquiries from members and the personnel of other departments.
  • Performs data processing that provides for the timely and accurate recording, processing, and posting of general ledger data.
  • Maintains the proper records and back-ups for all accounting related functions.
  • Maintains all general ledger, journal and cash accounts and reconciles accounts.
  • Balances all checks and savings bonds deposited. Reconciles files electronically uploaded to Corporate One.
  • Ensures that activities, including origination, is received and posted timely.
  • Processes payroll reports including posting exceptions and member requested changes.
  • Reconciliation of Credit Union deposit accounts.
