Job Description Job Description Job Title: Automation Technician Job Description The Automation Technician supports, maintains, and improves automated manufacturing systems within an automotive production environment. This role focuses on ensuring equipment uptime, optimizing automated processes, performing troubleshooting, and supporting the integration of robotics, PLCs, sensors, and other automation technologies that drive high-volume production. Responsibilities Repair and maintain automated machinery including robots, PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, vision systems, and safety circuits. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure peak system reliability and minimal production downtime. Respond to equipment breakdowns, performing rapid root-cause analysis and restoring production safely and efficiently. Monitor, adjust, and improve automated processes to meet production, quality, and safety standards. Assist engineers with implementing new automation systems or upgrades, including installation, wiring, programming support, and testing. Support validation and commissioning of new machinery or automation cells. Essential Skills Automation HMI Robotics Electrical Siemens PLC Troubleshooting Robot operation and maintenance Additional Skills & Qualifications PLC troubleshooting (Siemens is a plus) Robotics (ABB) Experience in a high-paced environment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and control diagrams Continued education in automation or electrical engineering Why Work Here?
