TECHNICIAN Direct Hire Oxford, MI $60-70k POSITION SUMMARY Our
client has engaged QPT to locate a top notch Maintenance Controls /
PLC Technician to support the reliability and performance of
industrial automation equipment. This role is primarily on-premises
and focused on troubleshooting, testing, and repairing
PLC-controlled systems, with occasional local field service support
as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair
PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment Support day-to-day
maintenance of automation, electrical, and control systems Perform
testing, debugging, and minor program modifications under
engineering guidance Identify root causes of recurring equipment
issues and implement corrective actions Support preventive and
predictive maintenance activities for control systems Work closely
with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize
downtime Provide occasional on-site field service support at nearby
customer or facility locations Produce timely and detailed service
reports Document repairs, changes, and troubleshooting activities
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the
organization Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate
recommendations REQUIREMENTS Proficiency with at least one PLC
platform: Mitsubishi Allen-Bradley Siemens Technical Degree
&/or PLC Certification/Training preferred Strong understanding
of industrial electrical and automation systems Ability to read and
interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and control drawings
Experience troubleshooting sensors, drives, motors, HMIs, and
industrial networks preferred 3 years of hands-on experience in
maintenance, controls, or industrial automation Experience in a
manufacturing or production environment strongly preferred Ability
to troubleshoot independently and work effectively in a fast-paced
plant setting Must be willing and able to travel approximately 10%
of the time (Most travel is local and same-day, occasional
overnight travel, week-long travel is rare INDQT
