Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 years of recent surgical technician experience required License: Basic Cardiac Life Support required Certifications: N/A Must-Have: - High School Diploma or equivalent required - Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program preferred Description: Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse and surgical team members, responsible for handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during general surgical procedures. Ensures understanding of assigned surgical procedures being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgical team. Provides service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, building services, and assisting the surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.
