This Ohio nursing job offers professional growth and a welcoming lifestyle near Lake Erie./n /n/nTravel Nursing Job Details/n /n - Location: Lorain, Ohio (44053) – Ohio healthcare jobs/n - Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (2W), 29 beds/n - Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse/n - Start Date: November 3, 2025/n - End Date: February 2, 2026/n - Duration: 13-week nursing contract/n - Shift: 12-hour night shifts/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday/n - Scrubs: Navy blue/n - Patient Population: Orthopedic, Neurology, and Telemetry patients/n - Support Staff: 1-2 ancillary healthcare staff per shift; phlebotomy available/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1680/n /n/nRegistered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (Ohio nursing jobs)/n - Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience/n - BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required/n - Proficient with insulin drips (gtts)/n - Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)/n - Ability to read and verify telemetry strips in EPIC EHR once per shift/n - Travel nursing experience preferred but not required/n /n/nMed/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities/n /n - Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans/n - Administer medications and manage Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin drips/n - Provide care for patients with wound vacs, PICC lines, central lines, and advanced airway modalities (BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow, Nasal cannulas)/n - Serve as primary contact for patients and families; coordinate patient care/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes/n - Advocate for patient safety and participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives/n - Document assessments and care accurately in EPIC electronic health record/n - Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process/n - Maintain professionalism and adhere to infection control and hospital policies/n /n/n /n Experience the best of Ohio nursing jobs in Lorain’s scenic lakefront community while making a meaningful impact in patient care.
