Doctor of Medicine | Neurology - General/Other Location: Youngstown, OH Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Overview We are seeking a Board-Certified Neurohospitalist for a locum tenens on-call assignment in Youngstown, Ohio . This opportunity involves inpatient neurology coverage across adult floors, ICU, and emergency settings, supported by APP coverage and a collaborative care team. Assignment Details Position Type: Locum Tenens Specialty: Neurohospitalist Providers Needed: 1 Schedule: 1 week per month (7 consecutive days) On-Call Coverage: Sunday–Saturday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Start: ASAP – Ongoing Pay: Inquire for details Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive neurohospitalist care across adult inpatient units Manage and evaluate neurological conditions in ICU and ED settings Perform required neurology and hospitalist procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care Patient Volume (Average per Day) Admissions: 9–10 patients ICU Census: ~10 patients ED Consults: 2–5 patients ICU Beds: 20 Areas of Rounding: All adult floors Procedures & Clinical Skills Required Neurology Procedures Radiologic exam interpretation (unofficial) EEG (Electroencephalogram) EMG (Electromyogram) Evoked potentials Brain death examinations Dysphagia screening Required Hospitalist Procedures Ventilation management Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues EKG interpretation Conditions Managed Autoimmune encephalitis Acute myasthenia gravis exacerbation Guillain-Barré syndrome Refractory epilepsy Meningitis Headache disorders Primary and secondary brain cancers Delirium Support & Systems APP Coverage: Yes Supervision of Other Providers: No EMR System: Epic Credentialing Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days Travel & Lodging Lodging reimbursed up to approximately $150/night Other travel expenses reimbursed at standard/economy rates (pre-approval required) Requirements Requirements Board Certified (Required) Active Ohio Medical License (Required) BLS & ACLS (Required) COVID Vaccine (required at name clear stage) Flu Vaccine (required at credentialing) Self-Query NPDB Report (dated within 30 days of presentation) Benefits ??
