Internal Medicine position is a full-time role focused on providing
high-quality nursing care within an internal medicine setting. The
primary goal is to support physicians and healthcare teams in
delivering comprehensive patient care, including assessment,
treatment, and education for patients with a variety of chronic and
acute medical conditions. This role requires meticulous attention
to detail to ensure accurate documentation, medication
administration, and patient monitoring. The LPN will play a
critical role in enhancing patient outcomes by collaborating
closely with interdisciplinary teams and maintaining a
compassionate approach to patient interactions. Ultimately, this
position contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of
the internal medicine practice by ensuring smooth clinical
operations and patient satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in the United States.
Completion of an accredited practical nursing program. Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification. Strong knowledge of nursing
principles, patient care procedures, and medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one year experience in a
clinical setting, preferably in internal medicine or primary care.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems Additional
certifications such as IV therapy or medication administration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively
interact with diverse patient populations. Ability to work
independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities: Assist physicians and registered nurses in the
assessment and treatment of patients with internal medicine
conditions. Administer medications and injections as prescribed,
while monitoring patients for adverse reactions or side effects.
Perform routine patient care tasks such as vital signs measurement,
point of care testing and immunizations, and specimen collection.
Document patient information accurately in electronic health
records and communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare
team. Educate patients and their families on disease management,
medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications. Maintain a clean
and safe clinical environment in compliance with healthcare
regulations and standards. Coordinate patient appointments,
follow-ups, and referrals to specialists as needed. Skills: The
required skills enable the LPN to perform clinical tasks such as
patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation
with precision and care. Strong communication skills are essential
for educating patients and collaborating with physicians and other
healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Familiarity
with electronic health records facilitates accurate and efficient
documentation and information sharing. Preferred skills, such as
experience with EHR systems and additional certifications, enhance
the nurse's ability to manage complex patient needs and improve
workflow efficiency. Overall, these skills contribute to delivering
safe, effective, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced internal
medicine setting.
