Job Description Job Description Job Summary The Behavioral Health Therapist position will expand Bloomington Medical Services’ current psychiatry practice to include outpatient counseling. Diagnosis and treats mental health disorders for the individual patient. Job Requirements Education Master’s Degree in clinical counseling, social work, or related field Current LPCC, LPC, LISW, or licensure in State of Ohio Minimum Experience Requirement 1-2 years’ experience providing assessment and therapy Strong oral communication skills Organizational & Position Expectations Diagnose and treat mental health disorders Prepare, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of client treatment plans Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention, when needed Maintain strict confidentiality of client issues and organization matters as defined by professional ethics and applicable laws Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner, as required by the organization Refer clients to specialists, if necessary Other duties as deemed necessary by management or administrative team Familiarity with privacy, health and safety laws Employee Statement of Understanding I understand that this document is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
