Job Description:
Description Position Summary: (Overall purpose of this position)
Provides day-to-day pharmacy operational oversight and compliance
for the outpatient pharmacy sites of NFP. Ensure compliance,
safety, and efficiency in dispensing, inventory management, and
staffing. Supports the Director of Pharmacy in aligning pharmacy
operations with the mission, vision, and strategic goals of NFP.
Serves as Pharmacist up to 60% of their time. Essential duties and
responsibilities which must be performed to carry out the position
purpose summarized above: (The following description is a general
representation of the key duties and responsibilities of this
position. (Other duties may be assigned, as required.) Manage daily
operations of the outpatient pharmacies, ensuring efficient and
compliant workflows. Create and maintain schedules and staffing for
all outpatient pharmacies. Approve or deny PTO for all outpatient
pharmacy staff. Provide leadership and coaching to outpatient
pharmacists. Direct supervisor of all pharmacy technicians.
Maintain operational compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations as well as internal policies including 340B Program
rules. Ensure accurate inventory management across all outpatient
pharmacies. Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to
support coordinated patient care. Obtain formulary items and
maintain physical medication inventories to maintain inventory to
support patient care while achieving cost control. Lead pharmacy
staff onboarding, development, and training. Support pharmacy
audits, inspections, and quality assurance reviews. Assist the
Director of Pharmacy with pharmacy project development and
implementation. L. Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment
in compliance with infection control and safety standards. M.
Represent the pharmacy at internal meetings and quality initiatives
as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy. Qualifications
Qualifications: Specific knowledge, training, or skills required to
perform the duties of this position. Specific concepts, courses,
training programs or required certifications: (To perform this

unrestricted licensure in state of Ohio Board certified Doctor of
Pharmacy (licensed to practice in the State of Ohio). Current BLS
certification required. Meet Board and State requirements for
continuing professional education. Demonstrated understanding of
public health policy and practices; familiarity with medical home
model of care. Knowledge of 340B program (340B certification
required in first 12 months) Demonstrated written and oral
communication skills. In-depth emotional intelligence: demonstrated
self-awareness, accurate self-assessment, sensitivity and empathy,
openness, reliability and consistency. Demonstrated cultural
competency and understanding of underserved populations. In-depth
collaboration and coaching skills. Demonstrated ability to manage
multiple priorities and generate results. Computer proficiency:
application of EMR and related functional software. Demonstrated

Ability to see, communicate, hear and utilize electronic

for long periods of time. Bending, stretching required. Lifting up
to 40 pounds. Work environment is stressful at times. Work in a
collaborative environment. Previous experience that is necessary
background to qualify for this position: Minimum 3 years of
experience in outpatient pharmacy practice. 1-2 years of pharmacy
management or lead pharmacist experience. Experience in FQHC, 340B,
or medically underserved populations preferred.
