University of Toledo Physicians • Department of Medicine,
Division of Cardiology The University of Toledo Physicians (UTP) is
seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our
expanding General Cardiology and Electrophysiology (EP) service
line. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice
comprehensive cardiovascular care while gaining exposure to
electrophysiology within a collaborative, academic medical
environment that values teamwork, education, and tradition. As a
member of the Division of Cardiology, you will provide high-quality
inpatient care to patients with a wide spectrum of cardiovascular
conditions, including arrhythmias and cardiac device management.
You will work closely with a collegial team of physicians, advanced
practice providers, and administrative staff contributing to both
clinical excellence and medical education. Schedule: Monday–Friday,
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Every 7th weekend clinic coverage Position
Highlights: Provide comprehensive care for general cardiology and
electrophysiology patients. Conduct inpatient consultations, daily
rounding, and ongoing patient management. Lead outpatient clinic
visits including new evaluations, follow-ups, and device checks.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, residents, and fellows
in an academic environment. Participate in case discussions,
patient education, and multidisciplinary coordination. Training
available for APPs seeking to grow their electrophysiology
skillset. Required Qualifications: Education Graduate of an
accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Master’s degree in the appropriate field Licensure & Certification
State of Ohio licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice
Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant National certification as a
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Acute Care certification
required for Nurse Practitioners Certificate of Authority (COA)
from the Ohio Board of Nursing or Ohio State Medical Board BLS
certification Eligible to obtain and maintain Certificate to
Prescribe and DEA registration Experience Minimum of one year of
experience in a General Cardiology setting Electrophysiology

200 pounds. Occasional carrying of items weighing up to 30 pounds
required. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range and
manual dexterity. Requires the ability to operate various types of
office equipment, including but not limited to: Personal computer,
fax machines, copiers, telephones Exposure to communicable diseases
and/or body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and
other conditions common to a clinic environment on a daily basis.
