Job Description Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of our network systems. Job Duties: Design, implement, and manage the organization's local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN). Develop network architecture plans and execute projects to enhance network capacity, reliability, security and scalability. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities. Monitor network traffic for unusual activities and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive information. Conduct regular system updates and network performance tests to ensure seamless functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly, collaborating with the support team and other relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with vendors to acquire and implement network solutions that align with organizational goals. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide training to IT staff and end-users on network-related topics. Work closely with IT professionals and other departments to ensure effective communication and integration of network systems. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve network performance and efficiency. Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. Proficient in the configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Education and Experience: Bachelor Degree required in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role for at least 5 years. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certifications preferred.
