Job Description Job Description The position of Lead Mechanical Assembly Technician requires leading the mechanical assembly of the projects assigned to the team. Lead Assembly Technicians report directly to the Assembly and Installation Team Leader and may receive project-specific directions from the Project Team Leader and Project Managers. Lead Assembly Technicians will be asked to assist with the development and training of new team members and work study students. Responsibilities Attend project meetings as requested by the Project Team Leaders and Project Managers from concept to wrap-up Work closely with the Lead Electrical Assembly Tech through the build, de-bug, and commissioning of the project. Always supporting each other and the assembly techs Pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum system plumbing Provide manufacturing support, assembly support, de-bug, and final qualification of the equipment Facilitate the project debug, run-off, and start-up ensuring that each requirement of the scope is met, and the project milestone dates are maintained Collaborate with engineers to answer questions and solve design issues Ensure the project requirements are met prior to, and during the internal and customer run-offs Travel is required Provide field support for new installations including startup and final tuning Ability to multitask and work independently while effectively coordinating work with other team members Requirements Strong mechanical analytical skills to assemble and troubleshoot industrial automation equipment Machining experience is a plus Ability to interpret design intent of engineering drawings and schematics Proficient in 3-D modeling navigation Effective time management and team leadership skills Adaptability to changing project requirements and schedules Strong communication skills, verbal and written Willingness to learn and desire to contribute as part of a dynamic and productive team Benefits First Shift, Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Health Savings Account Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Voluntary Short-Term Disability Paid Holidays Profit Sharing Paid Vacation Days Clothing Allowance Paid Travel Vacation Wellness Program 401K program Educational Assistance YMCA discount
