The Supervisor oversees the MRI Department activities, coordinates and manages daily operations and scheduling. Supervisor is required to rotate through call rotation, and this will include holidays and weekends. The supervisor assures that required Quality Assurance activities are developed and completed as per regulatory guidelines. The Supervisor ensures that appropriate procedures and quality control functions are in place and followed. The Supervisor ensures that daily clinical functions and services are carried out in a high quality fashion, complies with all regulatory standards, and are provided in a timely, high value, effective manner to physicians, patients, and other customers. The Supervisor uses resources and personnel as needed to perform testing and clinical diagnostic services in a responsive, cost-effective manner. The Supervisor works effectively in a team with other staff to carry out daily operations. The Supervisor is responsive to physicians, staff and customer needs, is innovative and positive, and actively assesses and improves services as needed to meet goals. The Supervisor in conjunction with the Manager oversees, and evaluates personnel. The supervisor ensures personnel are competent, current in required CEUs and is trained in protocols. The Supervisor practices Mercy Health values in everyday actions, is interdependent and participates as a member of the leadership team, along with other hospital and system departments and teams to deliver high quality services and achieve HM system goals. Maintains ethical relationships. May be requested to assist in the development of techniques for procedures. Assist others in the department, requests assistance when necessary and demonstrates a team approach to patient care. Assist in developing the skills of students, trainees, or residents.-Delivers on our Promise by always demonstrating excellent patient experience behaviors.Always conveys compassion and respect for the patient/customer and co-worker.Consistently delivers the best service experience utilizing the 5 Foot/10 Foot rule, Messages of Caring Out Loud, AIDET, I- care, and other Mercy Health customer experience tools and behaviors.MINIMUM EDUCATIONRequired Minimum Education:Specialty/Major: Radiologic Sciences/ManagementLICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS (must be non-expired/active unless otherwise stated):Required: ARRTcertification in MRI. Current BLS certification required. 3-5 years experience in a leadership role.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Years and Type of Experience:Minimum 4-5 years clinical experience in a hospital setting.Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:Experience in supervision is preferred. Experience/knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet information, preparation of reports, preparation of operating radiology budgets is desired.
