sustainablyResponsible for the safe and efficient operation of the
Bellevue, OH protein plant operations scheduling and management of
the shipping and receiving activities of the warehouse. Job scope
includes day to day leadership of two hourly personnel functioning
in a high-performance team environment. Ensuring a safe work
culture and environment, driving cost savings and productivity,
ensuring proper staffing, meeting, and improving employee and Food
safety performance exceeding customer expectations. Promote safety
by driving a zero-incident culture ensuring the safety of all
employees, contractors, and visitors.Responsibilities
include:Ensure plant is compliant with all corporate safety
policiesSchedule and order ingredientsSchedule rail shipments for
both loading and unloadingWork closely with logistics coordinator
to schedule truck pickups and provide vacation relief for this
positionTrack and schedule inbound oilsManage railcar fleet for
both inbound and outbound oils.Work closely with operations
manager, supervisors and operators as needed for training as well
as troubleshoot production issuesBe an effective safety leader
engaging in Bunge safety discussions and initiatives.Executes good
manufacturing practices while promoting a safe working environment
and maintaining sanitation standards (GMP and HAACP) through the
supervision of all phases of the production processPractices basic
principles of good people management to build and develop teams for
maximum efficiency and responsivenessContinually identifies and
implements short- and long-term cost savings opportunities, in the
areas of operations that do not compromise qualityFacilitates good
communication by regularly informing management of significant
operational issues, changes and recommendationsParticipates in food
safety inspections including interacting with plant QA, regulatory
agencies, Rabbis and external auditorsParticipate and sustain
productivity activitiesDirect production activities to produce
quality products, meet customer product requirements and ensure
timely shipments schedule Ensure that the facility goal of no
injuries is that of all employeesCoach the concept of continuous
improvement that optimizes costs and efficiencies and set an
example that represents Bunge s values Schedule production
processes and run rates Blend and adjust products to fit customer
requirementsMonitor finished oil quality to ensure it meets Bunge s
specifications Implement Bunge s safety policies and
proceduresMonitor production efficiencies to maximize yields and
minimize cost.Commitment of time to problem solve issues outside of
the regular workday schedule, including off-shifts and
weekendsHolds self and other accountable for performance standards
and expectations.Any other duties as assignedSkill/Experience
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent
combination of education and experienceMinimum three to five years
demonstrated experience in a related role Demonstrate ability to
work safely and to promote safe work practices in othersStrong
leadership skills with proven track record of developing high
performance teams Ability to work collaboratively on teams with
other managers, supply chain professionals, sales and commercial,
and engineering both internal and external to the facilityProven
ability to manage, develop, motivate, and train employees.
Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel,
Word, and PP), SAP and other technical software applications
Excellent verbal, written, and listening skillsCandidate must be
friendly, collaborative, intelligent and hard working
Skill/Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field
and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum
three to five years demonstrated experience in a related role
